Tell us a bit about yourself: Massive lore nerd for many franchises, including Star Wars. I have always loved creating my own stories within these worlds. I currently work in a small business whilst studying game development at home. Currently, I am developing a mod for Terraria as a means to learn various aspects of development, while also expressing my passion. I am, of course, a massive Star Wars nerd, and one of my favourite methods of enjoying the world is through Roleplay. This also extends to becoming staff to try and enrich others' experience with my passion for the fandom.
Why do you want to join the Staff Team?: I was staff here in the past, and despite the occasional hiccup, I really enjoyed my time creating events and helping to create a welcoming and friendly community. I have been gone for a couple of years, and whilst seeing many recurring faces, I have seen so many new players, and it re-ignited my desire to help create a thriving community.
I think my previous experience, both in DG and in general, has allowed me to grow and learn what it takes to work together as a team. I also wish to see the server prosper, and I hope by joining the staff team I can contribute to that by working with other members of staff and the wider server community.
My other main reason would likely link back to what I said previously about my passion for Star Wars; becoming staff is the perfect opportunity to share that love with the rest of the server by creating interesting and fun events, whilst contributing my ideas to other members of the team to keep the community engaged and make the server as enjoyable as possible.
Create a planetary event idea:
Backstory:
Through some political negotiation, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine has agreed with a noble family of a planet alongside a previously abandoned Hyperspace Route to re-establish it in exchange for them joining the Republic, as well as establishing trade along the route.
However, a large Pirate Syndicate that used the route to smuggle and pursue their illegal activities has kidnapped one of the nobles and escaped to their hideout.
The Republic forces will need to rescue the noble before it jeopardizes the negotiations, as Count Dooku seems to also be trying to buy the nobles' loyalty to the CIS.
Objectives:
1. Set up and locate the hideout, as well as identify the Pirates' military strength and their possible weaknesses.
2. Infiltrate the hideout and locate the captured noble.
3. Rescue the noble
4. Prevent the Syndicate from attacking both the noble family as well as the new Hyperspace Route in the future.
Gameplay Notes:
Upon landing, the hideout will not be marked and will require 41st to search for it.
The hideout will be fortified and will require the combined efforts of Frontline and 38th armor to penetrate the defences
The noble will be held captive, and if possible, CG will negotiate for their release; however, it may require an assassination to get the noble to safety.
38th and RC will then work together to use the Pirates' own explosives against them, scuttling their ships and base.
There will be several areas that require breaching tactics to break through due to heavy fortification.
