How will your suggestion benefit the server:
Right now, being an EC, EP, or simply taking part in any training or sim with players who have explosives—such as GM, RC, or CG—has become extremely frustrating. The constant barrage of explosives makes it feel less like an actual training scenario and more like an unavoidable cycle of getting blown up the moment you spawn or move. It takes away the sense of participation and completely removes the chance to actually improve, react, or enjoy the experience. Instead of a fair and engaging fight, it turns into chaos where one side has an overwhelming advantage simply because of how quickly and repeatedly explosives can be used.

This is why adding a cooldown system, similar to the revive cooldown, would make a massive difference. A cooldown wouldn't take explosives away from these classes, nor would it remove their identity or usefulness. Instead, it would introduce a small window of fairness—enough time for people to reposition, push, defend, or simply not be instantly wiped out again. It would help prevent scenarios where one explosive wipes half the players before they even have a chance to participate.

Introducing a cooldown would also encourage more intentional gameplay. Explosive users would have to time their throws instead of relying on nonstop spam, which makes their abilities feel more meaningful and less like an easy win button. On the other side, non-explosive classes would finally get the chance to take part in the fight instead of being constantly reset or sidelined. The result would be a more balanced, enjoyable, and skill-based environment where every class gets to actually contribute.

Overall, this change isn’t about limiting explosive classes—it's about making sure the entire server has a fair experience. Trainings and sims should feel competitive and fun for everyone, not just the people holding explosives. A cooldown would bring back that sense of fairness and make every event smoother, more engaging, and far more enjoyable for all players involved.

Have you consulted any regimental command that this change may affect? (if yes say who):i have talked about it before but no regimental command member comes to mind atm

There are some explosive rules. (at least on the RC side)
RC's rules are as follows: explosives are prohibited on heavy targets (such as necromancers, B2 battledroids, Aquad droids, and Berserkers), large groups, and Vichles. COs may overrule based on specific situations.
Normally, if an EE uses a rocket/grenade, we return with explosives. (We normally don't start the engagement with it)
These rules were adapted based on our DC17m launcher was tweaked with its ammo count and damage. The rules were adapted and re-done according to the 212th rules for explosives at the time (August). And will most likely change again with the armoury update due to what we are getting.
We also use explosives to fill the missing rifles in some scenarios, mostly limited to grenades/one volley with the launcher. And we use explosives to fill in for limited to no armour/air support.

IF you are an EE, that's not in QCB, you have to just get used to dying to an RPS, LAAT or ATTE. As you will be killed the fastest way, like the grunts on the ground, and more so, seeing as you are more of an HVT than the B1S. (Be happy that Wreckers RPG isn't in use anymore, that thing did 1.5k dmg)
And sadly, this is Gmod, so perfect coordination and an equal killscore on the scoreboard won't happen.

In training, it's up to whoever hosts the sims about what the rules are. If there's too much boom, ask the host to have the exposives toned down. And I do agree, at least with the choke in CIT. But again, up to the Host. ( Enviro sims need to be back)

Then RC need to start informing that rule they spamm those grenades every time I see on in combat
And the amount of times I have heard people complain about it is just getting annoying now

And this isn't just against RC
CG and GM also have explosives that should have a coold down i would add 38th but they're vehicles already have a cooldown period between shots

No one has reached out to RC about anything explosives-wise.
And just cause you see us use explosives does not mean we only "spam" them, we tend to use them, yes. To a variable grade of success.
And a complaint against RC's use of explosives should not come in the form of an OOC suggestion, but should be given the proper way, IC or Discord. Like most other things as it's a regimental thing.

I know for a fact that several people have gone to RC members asking and telling them to stop spamming Explosives

Not Got lie whether rules are in place or not they are never followed i know RC spam explosives from when i did events i would put down like 150 npcs and they would just get wiped from the planet, which in turn made it harder for other regs, having jedi in mind right now as thats what i play but npcs vs jedi i may aswell throw myself at a cheese grater, This in my eyes is due to RC explosives dominating the entire battlefield and GM airburst thingy

Asked the current COs? Cause i have asked, and no one is backing your side of this. This is the first time we have heard about the issue. And yes, i have asked the CO's if they have heard anything, and it's a no
And again. Do it properly if you have complaints... Creating an OOC suggestion when NOTHING has been forwarded and given a notice up to one of the regiments that uses explosives is just NOT the way to do it. Go to the highest member of your regiment, tell them, and they will forward it to us.
